1)    What is the Price Watch System?

It is a weekly review of the prices of selected items from participating outlets.


2)    What is the goal of the Price Watch System?

The goal of the Price Watch System is to help consumers make informed-decisions on prices of selected items by providing quality and valid information; as well as to encourage consumers to practice the “smart consumer” concept by comparing prices of items before making a purchase.


3)    What are the selected items currently listed under Price Watch System?

20 category of selected items currently listed under Price Watch System:

i.       Condensed Milk (Susu Manis Pekat)
ii.      Evaporated Milk (Susu Cair)

4)    What is the validity period of the prices of selected items under the Price Watch System?
 
The Price Watch System is updated weekly. The prices of selected items under the Price Watch System has a validity period of a week. For example, the prices of selected items in Week 1 of January may vary in the following week (i.e. Week 2) depending on the availability of stocks in the participating outlets.


5)    How do I use the Price Watch System?

There are several ways of using the Price Watch System such as by clicking:

•    The ‘Individual Name/Logo’ tab of the participating outlet to view the details of prices of selected items by participating outlet
•    The ‘Price Watch by Category’ tab to view the prices of selected items by category
•    The ‘Listed Items Under Price Watch’ to view the prices by selected items


6)    What does “Old Price” mean?

“Old Price” means the price of the selected items from the previous week.


7)    How to download Price Watch summary lists?

To download the Price Watch summary lists in pdf file, go to 'Weekly Price Watch Archive' and select the preferred week.
