The total trade for the month of April was BND2,193.1 million, comprising exports valued at BND1,138.6 million and imports amounting to BND1,054.5 million. This represented an increase of 91.8 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) from BND1,143.7 million in April 2020.
The trade balance recorded a decrease of 72.9 per cent to BND84.1 million (April 2021) from BND310.9 million in April 2020.
On a month-on-month (m-o-m) basis, total trade increased by 30.1 per cent compared to March 2021 due to increase in imports by 101.5 per cent, while the exports decrease by 2.0 per cent.
